Welcome to Hardage Chinese: Important Message Below

Dear Hardage Chinese customers and friends,

I am sorry to have to impart some sad news.  After two years and many wonderful memories, Hardage Chinese has to close its doors.  To all our customers we offer the deepest regrets that we will not be able to continue on, and we want you all to know, children and adults alike, how much we have appreciated your loyal business and friendship.

It is important to note that our decision in no way means that you or your child's Chinese language development needs to end.  We have made arrangements with the Chinatown Community Cultural Center (the location of our weekend classes) for the Center to replace us as the provider of both child and adult classes.  I will continue to maintain a close relationship with the CCCC as a member of the Center's Program Committee and will be helping to make the transition to CCCC oversight of classes a seamless one.

It is also important for all adult students to know that we will continue to oversee the adult classes until all currently enrolled students have completed level IV.  At that point, we will provide guidance as to efficient yet economical options for your continued Chinese language learning.

Again, I want to offer my apologies for this decision and express the deep appreciation we feel toward all our customers.  I would very much like to continue with HC, but unfortunately, the time requirements have become more than I can handle.  As you may already be aware, I also work as the Assistant Principle at Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School, a role which requires a great amount of my time.  Additionally, Maggie, my business partner, will be returning to live in Shanghai permanently this summer.  We have both agreed that it is time to close the company.

If you are interested in learning more about the CCCC's summer language offerings please go www.ccccdc.org for more information.  Information should be available by early June.  Once again, many thanks.

Elizabeth Hardage.
